In the Accelerator's ecosystem, companies are referred to as "Elements". Think in terms of the cohesive elements of a formula for success.

Resources

Every entrepreneur comes to the Accelerator possessing keen desire, a dream, variable experience and some form of expertise. However, to create a successful organization, the emerging management team needs to possess skills in many areas, including administration, human resources, technology, marketing, and sales. Very few people coming out of corporate America actually posses these multifaceted skill-sets. brian cork has the unique ability to draw out inherent skills and abilities from emerging leaders and forge them into a comprehensive strategy for success.

Process

A typical scenario includes guiding start-up leadership through corporate formation (Corp, S-Corp, LLC, etc), vision development, capital formation (raising money), product development, human capital development (hiring best-of-class people), beta-testing, and new customer development.  For example, warm introductions to relevant companies that will enable Accelerator Elements to gain market traction quickly. As far as we know most companies need people, money and new customers. And, brian cork can help you realize all three.

Specific functionality must be in place within an Element to ensure potential investors that their involvement is not only with a company that has a good product or service, but an organization that has quality leadership and a structure that will facilitate the growth of the company as it Accelerates through the program. While brian cork himself is there to see that the Element succeeds, he also feels a great accountability to employees and shareholders. This directly aligns the best interests of the founder, investors and the business community as a whole under "best practices." This is a vital maxim in the brian cork ecosystem.

Results of Acceleration will include:

Coaching Founders and Management Teams
As is the case with all brian cork business, founders and their companies are referred to brian cork by a vast network of people that have worked with him for over twenty-five years. However, like most people and start-up companies, they are not typically "capital friendly." And, this can indicate a lack of best practices and critical experience, start-up or otherwise. They usually do not have the Policy, Process and Procedures (the "Three Ps") in place that will establish a market for the products and services, inspire investors, and give life to their vision. It is brian cork's proven and innovative coaching systems that allows the management team to establish themselves as part of the solution, and not the problem.
Vetting of Product or Service Vision
With the brian cork team's acumen, there exists the keen and unique opportunity to identify tactical weaknesses and turn them into strategic opportunities. As an example of this, brian cork's experience in raising over half a billion dollars in start-up capital for companies that have changed the world has given him practical insight into what works and where thought leaders should be focusing their energy. In addition, Accelerator Elements will need access to market research, technology expertise and intellectual property (IP) evaluation. brian cork has a proven team and a broad network of established professionals qualified to help start-ups make better decisions under a reduced time-line and cost.
Quick Fact Sheet
Many Entrepreneurs write Business Plans or have others write them as a "necessary evil".  However, brian cork and his team see a Strategic Plan as an opportunity to build a blue print for success, as well as an accountability road-map for potential and savvy investors. The identification and execution around critical milestones enable decision-makers to remain nimble and give away less of their vision-driven ideas to outsiders. Using brian cork's innovative Quick FACT Sheet™ format, a start-up or emerging culture company can develop a storyline that builds a vivid picture of the business that often culminates in a Return on Investment ("ROI") for themselves, Strategic Partners, and potential investors. Maxim: "If you can't articulate it, an investor partner won't see it".
Strategic Plan Development
Every Element, regardless of it's stage, needs a dynamic Strategic Plan to be self-sufficient and self-sustaining. The brian cork team, assisted by a host of strategic partners, can quickly develop a meaningful and relevant Strategic Plan designed to realize the Element's requirements, goals and objectives.
1st Round of Capital Formation
With brian cork's coaching and network vetting process, an Element is expected to emerge as "Capital Friendly". This means investors can and should find the Element worthy of investment. The tactical process includes an identification of mission-specific milestones that merit "smart-money" investment.  This can include: "Execs-with-check (proven executive leaders qualified to make tactical, milestone-based investments)". Using this as an example of brian cork's prowess, these are typically proven and established professionals, with strong credentials by discipline (e.g. CEO, CFO, CTO), that can make an investment and then join the management team to protect and grow their investment. This clearly means that emerging companies will have the benefits of early funding, and an experienced executive to assist in the Elements’s evolution.  Other forms of first round investors can include, angels, friends and family, "smart-money" investors, generally from brian cork's proven and established network.
Products and Services Development
The Accelerator has access to a broad and deep network of resources to include development companies to assist Accelerator companies in the various stages of product (software, hardware) and services required for beta-testing, and then to market.
Beta Testing
Once an Element's products and/or services have been initially developed for the market, proof-of-concept and then beta-testing will be initiated in-and-amongst brian cork client companies and strategic partners to assist Accelerator Elements in the "breaking and fixing" process of identifying potential weaknesses and/or confirm its appeal and strengths.  This process is also vital in assisting the Elements respective efforts in refining their sales and marketing strategies.
Second Round of Capital Formation
Once the products and/or services have been vetted under strict protocols, that include beta tests, a second round of funding is introduced to the Accelerator Elements.
Human Capital Development
brian cork Human Capital™ provides immediate value to your company by rapidly defining and delivering "Human Capital" solutions by enabling companies to hire the best-of-class leaders and elite employees. We are experts at identifying "passive (employed, happy and productive)" candidates the companies need to be the leaders in their own industries. This is a terrific example of synchronicity enjoyed throughout the Accelerator ecosystem.
